Singapore, March 2025 – Kasturi Gomatham has been appointed as Global Head of Product & Demand, E-Mobility at Shell, where she will lead strategic product development, demand generation, and global expansion efforts for Shell’s E-mobility initiatives. She will play a crucial role in driving innovation, fostering strategic partnerships, and scaling Shell’s electric vehicle (EV) solutions worldwide.
Prior to this role, Gomatham served as Global Head of EV Partnerships & Battery Swapping at Shell, where she led global partnerships and business development for EV charging infrastructure. Before that, she was Global Head of Battery Swapping, focusing on developing scalable battery-swapping solutions to enhance EV adoption. Her earlier role as Deal Principal in Shell’s M&A division for Renewables, Hydrogen, and E-mobility saw her overseeing strategic investments exceeding $100 million, shaping Shell’s global digital and clean tech investment thesis.
Before joining Shell, Gomatham was an Associate Director at Ola, where she was part of the early team at Ola Electric, leading strategic investments and corporate development. She also held senior roles at Flipkart, where she was instrumental in building the company’s e-commerce supply chain business from scratch, driving P&L growth and category expansion. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Strategy Consultant at PwC’s PRTM Management Consulting, specializing in market entry, innovation strategy, and M&A advisory.
Gomatham holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and a Graduate Diploma in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). With extensive expertise in business strategy, strategic partnerships, and new market development, she is well-positioned to lead Shell’s E-mobility product and demand initiatives globally.
