Ithaca, New York, United States, March 2025 – Kate Canino has taken on the role of Senior Director for People & Culture (Interim) at Centralus Health, where she will lead the organization’s talent strategy, employee experience, leadership development, and service delivery operations. In this strategic interim role, Kate aims to drive high-impact HR initiatives while fostering a people-first culture grounded in trust, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Prior to this appointment, Kate served at Cayuga Health System, a member of Centralus Health, where she was Manager for Learning and Talent Management. During her tenure, she led transformative efforts to enhance career advancement, training systems, and staff engagement across the healthcare system. She also served as Learning and Development Specialist, contributing to employee education frameworks.
Before joining the healthcare sector, Kate held multiple leadership roles at the Child Development Council of Central New York, including CCR&R Director of Tompkins County. There, she championed equity-focused childcare access, managed compliance programs, and led the DEI Committee. Her earlier experience also includes consulting as an Educational Consultant and serving as a Lead First Grade Teacher in both The American School of Asuncion and True North Rochester Prep Charter School, where she played pivotal roles in curriculum design, academic success, and teacher development.
Throughout her two-decade-long career, Kate has blended her expertise in education, DEI, and organizational leadership to foster inclusive, mission-driven environments that uplift people and outcomes alike.
