Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, September 2025 — Kate Roberts has started a new role as Head of Strategic People Programs & Integrations (M&A) at Medibank, expanding her leadership journey within the organisation. In this capacity, she will focus on driving strategic people programs, supporting business transformation, and leading integration initiatives across Medibank’s M&A activities.
Roberts first joined Medibank in 2024 as Head of People Experience – Digital and Ventures, where she was responsible for shaping the people agenda to support the company’s digital-first growth ambitions. She played a vital role in strengthening culture, employee experience, and leadership enablement within high-growth teams.
Before joining Medibank, Roberts was Head of Global People Operations, Programs, Remuneration and Benefits at Cotton On Group, where she contributed to global HR transformation and operational excellence across a diverse workforce.
Earlier, she spent more than four years with Xero, where she held several leadership roles, including Manager, Global People Programs and Founder & Chair of Women of Xero. In these roles, she drove global people initiatives, developed programs for leadership growth, and championed diversity, equity, and inclusion across the business.
In the earlier part of her career, Roberts worked with WeWork, Pandora, OMD Australia, Christie’s, La Trobe University, Mushroom Group, and Bigsky Credit Union, holding diverse positions across operations, programs, marketing, customer success, and people leadership. These experiences gave her a strong foundation in employee engagement, strategic communications, and organisational effectiveness.
With extensive experience in people operations, program management, and HR strategy across global organisations, Kate Roberts is well-positioned to lead Medibank’s strategic people programs and M&A integration agenda.
