New York City Metropolitan Area, New York, United States, January 2026 — Foot Locker has appointed Katie Legarreta as Vice President Human Resources, strengthening its senior HR leadership as the global footwear and apparel retailer continues to scale its people agenda across markets. In her new role, Katie will focus on advancing HR strategy, leadership capability, organizational effectiveness, and people programs that support Foot Locker’s continued growth and evolving business priorities.
Katie joins Foot Locker after a long and accomplished HR leadership journey at PepsiCo, where she spent nearly 14 years across progressive roles leading HR for marketing, commercial, supply chain, and regional business teams. Known for her ability to partner at the highest levels of leadership, drive organizational design and change, and enable large-scale workforce strategy, she brings significant experience in aligning people priorities with commercial performance.
With this appointment, Foot Locker further reinforces its commitment to building a high-performing, customer-obsessed culture across its global footprint, powered by leadership development, strong HR business partnership, and capability building.
Before joining Foot Locker, Katie Legarreta spent nearly 14 years at PepsiCo, building deep expertise across HR leadership, strategic workforce planning, and business transformation. Most recently, she served as Senior Director Human Resources, where she led HR for PBNA’s Marketing, Commercial, Gatorade, and Insights organizations, and acted as direct HR business partner to senior leaders including the Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, the Gatorade Leadership Team, and the SVP, Insights.
In the preceding years at PepsiCo, she held multiple senior leadership roles across HR, including Senior Director Human Resources supporting PBNA’s marketing and commercial organizations, and earlier served as a senior HR leader supporting the Central Division in Chicago. Across these assignments, she consistently enabled leadership effectiveness, capability building, and change management in high-growth, high-performance environments.
Earlier in her PepsiCo tenure, Katie held key roles across supply chain HR, including HR Director – PBC Supply Chain, along with progressive HR leadership responsibilities spanning HQ supply chain and market-level HR roles. These experiences gave her strong exposure to frontline workforce dynamics, operational capability building, and HR strategy delivery at scale.
Before PepsiCo, Katie contributed to HR roles at AOL as an HR Generalist and began her career with foundational HR experience at Deutsche Bank as an HR Analyst, building a strong base in people analytics, HR operations, and strategic HR execution.
