Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, June 2025 — Neurealm, a leading digital transformation partner in cybersecurity, AI, and platform engineering, has announced the appointment of Kavitha Ayappan as its Vice President – Cyber Security and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With over two decades of extensive leadership across cyber governance, risk, and enterprise IT strategy, Kavitha brings a powerful blend of technical acumen and strategic foresight to the firm’s evolving digital security landscape.
In her new role, Kavitha will spearhead Neurealm’s cybersecurity agenda across its global operations, reinforcing the company’s resilience against emerging threats while aligning security strategy with business transformation. Her mandate includes scaling the company’s cyber defense capabilities, enhancing compliance frameworks, and embedding AI-driven security intelligence across infrastructure.
Before joining Neurealm, Kavitha served as CISO at Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited, where she led robust governance practices and enterprise-wide risk mitigation programs. She also held key roles at Aspire Systems, Prodapt, Cognizant, and Ramco Systems, shaping organizational maturity in cybersecurity operations, regulatory compliance, and AI governance.
Kavitha’s vast experience is underpinned by a strong academic foundation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from CSI Institute of Technology, an M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Law and Forensics from the National Law School of India University. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Cybersecurity from Hindustan University, with a research focus on the convergence of AI and security—a field in which she is regarded as a thought leader.
A certified CISM professional, Kavitha has also been a keynote speaker and recipient of multiple industry recognitions for excellence in information security and GRC. Her strategic contributions to risk frameworks, AI policy drafting, cyber resilience, and stakeholder engagement make her uniquely equipped to lead Neurealm’s next phase of security innovation.
