London, United Kingdom, March 2026 – OAK Global has appointed Kaylee Darkins as Chief People and Communications Officer, reinforcing its leadership team as the company continues to expand its specialist underwriting capabilities across global risk markets. In this role, Darkins will lead the organization’s people strategy, culture initiatives, and communications agenda, supporting OAK Global’s growth and long-term partnership approach with clients across complex risk environments.
Darkins joins OAK Global after nearly seven years with AXA XL, where she most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer, UK and Lloyd’s and Global HR Business Partner for the Chief Client Office. In this role, she was responsible for leading HR strategy across the UK and Lloyd’s operations while supporting global leadership teams through culture transformation, talent strategy, and organizational development initiatives. Earlier, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer, UK and Lloyd’s, and previously as Senior HR Manager and HR Business Partner for UK entities, building strong expertise in HR leadership within the global insurance sector.
Prior to AXA XL, Darkins held HR leadership roles with AXA Corporate Solutions, where she served as Head of Human Resources, and earlier as HR Business Partner. During this time, she contributed to strengthening people strategy and operational HR capabilities across the organization’s UK operations.
Earlier in her career, Darkins built foundational HR experience across a range of organizations including Ashtons Legal, Schools’ Choice, and Lowestoft College, where she held advisory and HR leadership roles supporting organizational development, employee relations, and HR operations.
