Woodhull, New York, United States, December 2024 – Kenan Katranji has been named the Chief Medical Information Officer at NYU Langone Health, where he will lead the integration of clinical information systems to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Based at Woodhull Hospital, Dr. Katranji will play a critical role in implementing electronic medical records (EMR), training clinicians, and leveraging data analytics for quality improvement. His efforts will bridge the gap between medical professionals and IT systems, advancing NYU Langone’s mission of delivering world-class healthcare.
Before joining NYU Langone Health, Kenan Katranji served as Senior Director of Digital Health at NYC Health + Hospitals. Over three years, he led transformative digital health initiatives, applying his expertise in strategic planning and clinical leadership to enhance primary and community health services.

Previously, he was an Attending Physician and Informatician at Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, Inc., where he honed his skills in community health and management. His commitment to innovation was further demonstrated during his time as an Associate Consultant at ZS, where he developed advanced analytic tools and led global health economics research initiatives.
Dr. Katranji also completed a Clinical Informatics Fellowship at Geisinger, where he drove IT projects and leveraged data analytics to support healthcare initiatives. His leadership contributed to Geisinger’s recognition as a Healthcare Equality Index Leader.
In earlier roles, Dr. Katranji served as a Resident Physician at PIH Health, demonstrating a strong foundation in family medicine and clinical care.
