Vienna, Austria, July 2024 – Kolya Wyatt has been appointed as the new Head of People & Culture for the Middle East & Asia at Borealis, where they will oversee HR strategy and cultural initiatives across these key regions. In this role, Kolya will lead efforts to foster a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing workforce that aligns with Borealis’s vision of innovation and sustainable living. Their leadership will be instrumental in supporting the company’s growth and talent development in the Middle East and Asia markets.
Kolya has been with Borealis since 2023, where they first joined as Stream Business Partner – Joint Venture & Growth. In this role, Kolya supported the company’s joint ventures and growth initiatives, with a focus on strengthening partnerships and aligning HR strategies with business objectives. Their experience in managing complex partnerships and driving organizational effectiveness made them a natural fit for their current role.
Prior to joining Borealis, Kolya held various leadership roles at OMV, including Global Learning & Strategic OE Projects Manager, where they led global learning initiatives and strategic organizational effectiveness projects for nearly three years. During this time, Kolya developed and implemented global programs aimed at enhancing team performance and leadership capabilities.
Before that, Kolya served as Head of HR for the Middle East & Africa at OMV for three years, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, they managed HR operations across the region and contributed to organizational transformation by developing talent strategies and driving change management processes. Kolya also gained valuable experience as an HR & Administration Manager at OMV New Zealand, where they led HR functions and operational improvements.
Kolya’s earlier career includes roles at UBS Warburgs and Hudson York Farrell as a Project Administrator and Recruitment Administrator, respectively, where they honed their expertise in HR and project management.
