Colombo, Western Province ,Sri Lanka, February 2026 —Eswaran Brothers Exports (Pvt) Ltd has appointed Dilhan Jayawardena as Group Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant milestone in the company’s leadership journey as it enters a new phase of global expansion and operational strengthening.
With its expanding global footprint in innovative tea and herbal beverage offerings, Eswaran Brothers is enhancing its product development, manufacturing capabilities, and overall capacity across operations. In order to support this next stage of growth, Dilhan joins the senior management team to further strengthen the organization’s people, processes, and customer service excellence — areas for which the company is widely recognized.
In his new role, Dilhan Jayawardena will lead the overall strategic direction of the group, driving commercial growth, operational excellence, and customer-centric innovation while strengthening governance and execution across the enterprise.
Prior to this appointment, Dilhan held senior leadership positions at Dilmah Tea, where he served as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing operations and driving business performance across markets. His tenure reflected strong capabilities in operational leadership, manufacturing optimization, and commercial strategy execution.
Earlier, he held multiple leadership roles at Fonterra Brands Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, including Sales Director, Operations Director, Supply Chain Manager, and Manufacturing Manager. During this period, he led cross-functional teams across sales, operations, and supply chain management, contributing significantly to business restructuring, operational improvements, and market expansion.
Before his corporate leadership roles, Dilhan served at Maharaja Organisation (Pvt) Ltd, where he held key responsibilities including Group Human Resources Manager and Plant Manager – Pepsi, strengthening people strategy, manufacturing systems, and operational frameworks.
He began his professional journey serving over a decade as a Major in the Sri Lanka Army, building a foundation of disciplined leadership, resilience, and high-performance team management that continues to define his executive approach.
With over 25 years of progressive leadership experience spanning Sri Lanka and international markets including New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Middle East, and Africa, Dilhan brings a global leadership perspective to his new role.
His appointment reflects Eswaran Brothers’ commitment to strengthening executive leadership as the group scales its manufacturing excellence, customer partnerships, and international presence.
