San Jose, California, United States, December 2024 – Adobe has announced the appointment of Lara Hood Balazs as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Executive Vice President, Global Marketing. Reporting directly to CEO Shantanu Narayen, Lara will leverage her extensive marketing expertise to lead Adobe’s global marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission to drive creativity and innovation worldwide. Her appointment highlights Adobe’s commitment to bolstering its leadership team with professionals who have a proven track record in elevating brand reputation and driving business growth.
Lara Hood Balazs brings nearly three decades of marketing experience from renowned organizations. Most recently, she was EVP, General Manager of the Strategic Partner Group & Chief Marketing Officer at Intuit, where she successfully integrated AI-driven strategies to enhance customer engagement. At Intuit, she oversaw the marketing and communications portfolio, corporate responsibility efforts, and partnerships with financial institutions and technology platforms, significantly driving brand recognition.
Prior to Intuit, Lara served as Vice President, Worldwide Prime & North America Marketing at Amazon, where she managed the global marketing strategy for Amazon Prime and the North America consumer business. Before that, she held pivotal roles at Visa, including SVP, Head of North America Marketing, where she directed marketing efforts for Visa’s largest revenue-driving region, and led global innovation marketing and strategy efforts. Lara’s tenure at Nike as part of the Marketplace Marketing team further sharpened her ability to drive impactful consumer engagement.
Earlier in her career, Lara held various leadership positions, including roles at Gap Inc., Prophet, and General Mills, where she honed her skills in brand management, marketing strategy, and corporate planning. She is also a Member of the Board of Directors at Frontdoor, Inc., a company dedicated to innovative homeowner solutions.
