New York, United States, October 2024 – Lauren Smith has been appointed as the new Vice President of Human Resources, Advertising & Partnerships at NBCUniversal, effective immediately. In this role, Lauren will lead HR strategies that support the advertising and partnerships division, fostering an inclusive, innovative, and high-performing workforce.
Lauren has spent over 10 years at NBCUniversal, with her most recent role as HR Director for the Marketing, Program Scheduling, and TV & Streaming Acquisitions team within the Entertainment Group. In this capacity, she successfully developed HR strategies that aligned with the company’s broader goals while fostering growth and development within the team.
Prior to her role as HR Director, Lauren held the position of HR Manager for three and a half years, where she oversaw various HR functions, including talent management and employee relations, across the Greater New York City Area. She played a key role in supporting a collaborative and dynamic workforce during a period of significant growth and change.
Lauren began her journey at NBCUniversal as an HR Coordinator, gaining hands-on experience in recruitment, performance management, and HR systems. Her progression within the company highlights her expertise in HR operations and her commitment to excellence in human resources.
Before joining NBCUniversal, Lauren worked at the 2014 NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Company, where she was the Associate Manager of the Executive Office, contributing to the successful execution of one of the world’s largest sporting events.
