Lisbon, Portugal, November 2025 — Leah Buccellato has started a new role as Chief People Officer at SOLVACE, marking an exciting new chapter in her distinguished people leadership career. After six impactful years at Unbabel, where she helped scale the organisation through industry disruption and built a high-performing culture and People function, Leah now steps into a pivotal role guiding SOLVACE’s people strategy as the company accelerates global growth in operational excellence technologies.
In her most recent tenure at Unbabel, Leah spent more than six years strengthening the company’s talent, culture, and organisational capabilities across multiple leadership roles. She progressed from People Ops Director to VP of People, eventually becoming Chief People Officer, where she played a central role in shaping transformation, scaling teams, and embedding a world-class employee experience. Her leadership contributed significantly to building a cohesive culture during rapid organisational evolution, leaving a lasting impact recognised by colleagues and founders alike.
Before joining Unbabel, Leah worked independently as an HR Consultant, advising organisations on people strategy, HR operations, and talent frameworks. Earlier, she spent five years at BBH London, one of the world’s most recognised creative agencies, where she rose to Head of HR and drove people initiatives supporting global campaigns for major brands. Her earlier HR foundations were built through roles at The App Business, TBWA\Media Arts Lab, Arena Media, Cabot Square Capital, and Design & Media Planning, where she contributed across recruitment, HR operations, employee relations, and organisational processes.
Across her career, Leah has consistently demonstrated her strength in people leadership, culture-building, and talent development, backed by multi-industry experience across creative, technology, consulting, and operational environments. Her journey reflects a deep commitment to creating empowered, high-performing organisations—an expertise she now brings to SOLVACE as it scales its operational excellence platform globally.
