Gothenburg, Västra Götaland County, Sweden, August 2025 – Lena Wigren has taken on a new leadership role as Head of People Experience & Solutions, P&C Sweden at Volvo Group. In this pivotal role, Lena will be responsible for advancing the People & Culture agenda across Sweden, focusing on employee experience, strategic HR solutions, and workforce transformation to align with Volvo’s evolving business needs.
Immediately prior to this appointment, Lena served for nearly six years as Head of Site Sweden at Volvo Group University, where she played a key role in shaping leadership and learning development strategies. She led efforts to foster a learning culture, enhance organizational capabilities, and implement global learning initiatives aligned with the Group’s strategic priorities.
Before that, Lena spent close to seven years at Volvo Group Trucks Operations, holding multiple leadership positions. As Director Project Management, she oversaw cross-functional transformation projects. Previously, as Manager Analyses and Projects EMEA, she led regional teams managing logistics development, process standardization, and implementation across EMEA and APAC. In her earlier role as Business Development Manager, she led global initiatives on project management, competency frameworks, and CSR.
Lena’s prior roles at Volvo Powertrain further demonstrate her progression through key business functions. Over a span of more than seven years, she served as Business Development Manager, driving global process harmonization, supplier base strategies, and offshoring efforts. Her earlier contributions included roles as Purchasing Manager and Buyer and Segment Leader, where she drove procurement excellence and category strategy.
