Kottayam, Kerala, India, December 2024 – Liju Kurian George has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai, a multi-speciality hospital dedicated to delivering advanced healthcare services. In his new role, Liju will oversee the hospital’s financial strategies and operations, contributing to its mission of providing ethical and patient-centered medical care.
Before joining Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai, Liju served as Financial Director at Kent for over 3 years, where he managed financial operations in the challenging environment of Saudi Arabia. He was instrumental in ensuring robust financial controls and compliance during his tenure.
Previously, he was the Country Finance Manager at SNC-Lavalin, where he successfully navigated the company through challenges posed by the oil and gas industry, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier, as Chief Controller Finance at the same organization, he led a team of 50, integrating operations with SNC Lavalin’s global policies and enhancing financial efficiency.
Liju’s earlier experience includes a stint as Manager (Finance Services) at El Seif Engineering Contracting, where he played a pivotal role in transitioning the finance function into a shared services model. At Al-Suwaidi Holding Company, he served as Controller of Accounts, managing large-scale financial operations and partnering on organizational restructuring projects.
His career began with finance roles at Godrej GE Appliances, GULF OIL India Ltd, and Balagarh Power Co Ltd, where he honed his skills in financial modeling, budgeting, and project accounting.
