Metro Detroit, Michigan, United States, January 2026 — Lisa Cunningham has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at Centria Healthcare and Centria Autism Services, marking a significant leadership milestone in her nearly decade-long journey with the organization. In her expanded role, Cunningham will lead enterprise-wide people strategy, workforce transformation, leadership development, and organizational culture for one of the United States’ fastest-growing mission-driven healthcare providers.
Over the past nearly nine years at Centria Autism and Centria Healthcare, Cunningham has played a central role in shaping the organization’s people infrastructure through periods of rapid geographic expansion, workforce scaling, and clinical capability development. Most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, she led enterprise HR modernization initiatives, clinician workforce strategy, and leadership capability building. Prior to that, she served for several years as Vice President of Human Resources, where she strengthened recruitment frameworks, clinical workforce engagement programs, and culture-building initiatives that supported Centria’s growth across multiple U.S. states.
Before joining Centria, Cunningham served as Director of Human Resources at The Hotel Chicago – Marriott Autograph Collection, where she led full-spectrum HR operations, labor relations, compliance frameworks, and large-scale workforce development programs for a major unionized hospitality operation in Chicago.
Earlier, she held the role of Director of Human Resources at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) – Crowne Plaza Chicago West Loop, managing HR operations, labor relations, training ecosystems, workforce planning, and leadership development programs across large, unionized hospitality properties.
Her foundational HR leadership experience was built at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where over several years she progressed through multiple leadership and task-force HR roles across Chicago, Miami, San Antonio and other key markets—building deep expertise in labor relations, organizational development, payroll governance, compliance, workforce engagement, and training ecosystems.
