Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, September 2025 – Gadens, a top 10 independent Australian law firm, has announced that Lisa Eskander has joined as its new Chief People Officer. In this role, she will lead the firm’s people strategy, talent development, and cultural initiatives to strengthen Gadens’ position as a leading law firm committed to client service and innovation.
Eskander has been with Gadens since April 2022, where she served as Head of People & Development for more than three years. During this period, she played a central role in developing talent initiatives, driving leadership programs, and enhancing people engagement strategies across the firm. Her strong contributions in this role laid the foundation for her elevation to Chief People Officer.
Prior to this, she worked at Baker McKenzie as Senior Manager – Talent, where she was responsible for leading talent development and supporting strategic people programs for one of the world’s largest international law firms.
Earlier, Eskander held the role of HR Manager at Arnold Bloch Leibler, where she managed HR operations and policies for the Melbourne office, contributing to a strong people-first culture.
Her earlier tenure at Gadens, from 2013 to 2018, saw her serve as HR Manager. Over more than five years, she partnered closely with senior leadership to build HR frameworks, strengthen recruitment, and drive employee development initiatives. This long-standing association with Gadens highlights her deep understanding of the firm’s values and culture.
