Bloomington, Minnesota, United States, April 2025 – Lori Riley has joined The Toro Company as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer – Human Resources & Corporate Affairs. In this strategic role, she will lead global HR initiatives, corporate communications, and government affairs, aligning people strategies with the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer success.
Prior to joining The Toro Company, Lori served as Chief People & Administration Officer at Northern Tool + Equipment, where she was instrumental in shaping the organization’s people, communications, and legal strategies. Over her three-year tenure, she played a critical role in scaling operations, fostering a values-driven culture, and leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

Before that, she held key roles at Optum, where she was SVP, Human Capital Partner, and concurrently served as Chief People Officer at Rally Health, a digital health company under the Optum umbrella. In these roles, Lori focused on human capital transformation, talent strategy, and employee experience.
Lori’s experience also includes impactful stints as SVP, CHRO & CIO at Evine Live (ShopHQ), and nearly a decade at UnitedHealth Group, where she served as Vice President Human Capital. She began her HR leadership career with Target, where over more than a decade, she held progressive HR roles, including VP Business Technology, VP HR Operations, and Director of Compensation, contributing significantly to organizational effectiveness.
