Los Angeles, California, United States, March 2025 – Louisa Amott has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency (LACAHSA). In this role, she will lead the human capital strategy, talent development, and organizational culture initiatives to support LACAHSA’s mission of providing affordable housing solutions and addressing homelessness in Los Angeles County.
With over two decades of leadership experience in human resources and talent acquisition, Louisa Amott has a proven track record of building HR infrastructure, fostering workplace culture, and implementing innovative people strategies.
Prior to joining LACAHSA, Louisa served as CHRO at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, where she led strategic HR initiatives focused on organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and HR transformation. She played a key role in strengthening the workforce dedicated to supporting individuals at risk of homelessness.
Previously, Louisa was the Founder of Luma Talent, an HR consultancy firm, where she advised organizations on talent acquisition, leadership development, and workforce planning. She also served as Executive VP of Global Talent Acquisition at Gorilla Logic, where she built and scaled talent functions across the U.S., Colombia, Costa Rica, and Mexico.
Her career also includes leadership positions at Alteryx, SAFEbuilt, Staples, Maxar Technologies, and Trimble Inc., where she led global talent acquisition, HR transformation, and workforce engagement strategies. Throughout her career, she has specialized in building HR teams, developing employee experience programs, and driving diversity and inclusion initiatives.
