Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, United Kingdom – November 2024 – Lucy O’Donnell has been appointed as the Head of People Operations at Opencast | B Corp™. In her new role, Lucy will be responsible for optimizing Opencast’s people operations, enhancing the company’s people-first culture, and supporting the organization’s mission-driven ethos. Her expertise in HR strategy and people operations will be invaluable as Opencast continues its rapid expansion.
Before joining Opencast, Lucy served at Nearform as the Global People & Talent Ops Manager, where she oversaw global HR operations and talent strategy. She progressed through several roles at Nearform over nearly four years, including Senior People Partner and People Partner, gaining extensive experience in strategic HR management and operations in a remote environment.
Prior to Nearform, Lucy was a Senior HR Advisor at Shiseido, supporting HR initiatives and employee engagement at the London-based branch of the global beauty brand. Her earlier career included experience at Oasis Fashion, where she contributed to HR operations as a People Advisor and People Assistant, building a strong foundation in HR advisory and talent support. Lucy also gained experience in HR early in her career with EY as an HR Trainee.
