Mumbai, Maharashtra, India — Avendus has elevated Troy Menezes to the position of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), marking a significant leadership milestone for a seasoned HR executive who has played an instrumental role in shaping the firm’s people strategy, talent agenda, and organizational growth over the past decade.
A respected human resources leader with deep expertise in talent management, organizational development, leadership effectiveness, culture transformation, employee engagement, and people strategy, Troy assumes the CHRO role at a time when Avendus continues to expand its presence across investment banking, institutional equities, wealth management, asset management, and credit solutions.
Troy has spent nearly ten years with Avendus, progressing through a series of increasingly senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Executive Director – Human Resources, where he partnered closely with business leaders to strengthen talent capabilities, drive leadership development initiatives, enhance organizational effectiveness, and support the firm’s growth ambitions across multiple business lines.
Prior to this role, he served as Director – Human Resources, Vice President – Human Resources, and Associate Vice President – Human Resources, steadily expanding his responsibilities while helping build a high-performance culture aligned with Avendus’ entrepreneurial and client-centric ethos.
Before joining Avendus, Troy spent over five years with Deloitte, holding consulting roles across both India and Australia. Most recently, he served as Senior Consultant at Deloitte Australia, where he advised organizations on human capital strategy, organizational transformation, and people effectiveness initiatives. Earlier, he held the positions of Senior Consultant, Consultant, and Senior Analyst at Deloitte India, developing strong expertise in HR consulting, organizational design, talent strategy, and workforce transformation.
Throughout his career, Troy has built a reputation for aligning people strategy with business objectives, developing leadership capability, strengthening organizational culture, and enabling sustainable growth through effective talent management practices. His long tenure at Avendus has provided him with deep institutional knowledge and a strong understanding of the firm’s evolving business priorities, making him well-positioned to lead the organization’s human capital agenda.
As Chief Human Resources Officer, Troy will be responsible for driving Avendus’ people strategy, leadership development, talent acquisition, succession planning, employee experience, culture initiatives, and organizational effectiveness efforts. He will play a critical role in ensuring that the firm continues to attract, develop, and retain top talent while supporting business growth across India, Southeast Asia, and the United States.
