Stockport, England, United Kingdom, December 2024 – Luke McClaran has taken on the role of Deputy Chief People Officer at Vitality, a leading health and life insurance provider. In this capacity, Luke oversees a broad HR portfolio, including rewards, diversity and inclusion, employee experience, people operations, recruitment, and data analytics. He will also act as a key member of Vitality’s UK and Health executive committees, further solidifying his role in shaping the company’s people and property strategies.
Luke has been with Vitality for over 11 years, most recently serving as HR Director, where he led talent acquisition, HR operations, digital enablement, remuneration, and diversity initiatives for approximately 3,000 employees in the UK and South Africa. His leadership contributed significantly to enhancing employee engagement and organizational efficiency.
Previously, Luke held the role of Head of HR, leading group functions across Vitality Health and Life, and managing transformational projects, performance frameworks, and strategic HR initiatives. Earlier in his tenure, as Head of Consultant Services, he managed consultant relationships and claims fund spend, while fostering innovative healthcare solutions for members.
Luke also brings experience from Bupa, where he served in various leadership roles, including Customer Service Manager, focusing on process improvements, operational performance, and resource management.
