Gefen has been promoted to the role of Chief People and Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at TerrAscend, a prominent cannabis company with operations across North America. Lynn has been with TerrAscend for over two years, most recently serving as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, where she managed legal and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and mitigating legal risks, while also guiding the company’s governance and regulatory strategies.
Prior to joining TerrAscend, Lynn was the Deputy General Counsel and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at HomeServe USA, where she built and led a team overseeing legal, compliance, and regulatory activities across the United States and Canada. Her achievements included managing M&A integrations and serving as a key advisor to executive leadership and the board.
Earlier in her career, Lynn held the role of Senior Counsel, Compliance and Legal at Diageo, where she directed compliance and regulatory activities related to the sale and distribution of alcohol across North America. Her responsibilities spanned governance, legal risk management, and the negotiation of commercial contracts.
Lynn also served as Associate General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Assistant Secretary to the Board at Citrix Systems, where she built and led a team during a period of rapid growth, focusing on SEC regulation, corporate governance, and M&A activities.
Her career began at prestigious law firms such as Holland & Knight LLP and Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP, where she specialized in securities, M&A, and corporate governance matters.
