Bedford, England, United Kingdom, November 2024 – Niki Coppard has joined Medivet as its new Chief People Officer, where she will lead the organization’s people strategy and foster a culture of innovation and care across its community of veterinary professionals. In this key role, Niki will oversee all aspects of talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development as Medivet continues to deliver exceptional care to clients and their pets.
Before joining Medivet, Niki served as Group HR Director at Huws Gray, one of the UK’s leading independent building merchants. During her tenure, she led a 50-member people function and spearheaded initiatives across business partnership, learning, communications, and diversity.
Previously, Niki held the role of People Director for Costa Coffee UK & Ireland, where she supported over 17,000 employees across operated and franchised retail, Express machines, and FMCG channels. Her leadership contributed to driving culture transformation, operational excellence, and enhanced employee engagement over a period of four and a half years.
Niki’s extensive experience also includes her work as an HR Consultant and Interim People Director through her own consultancy, NC People Solutions, where she delivered sustainable HR strategies for SMEs and larger organizations undergoing transformation. She also served as HR Director at Autoglass, leading strategic change and culture transformation within the organization.
Her earlier career includes HR leadership roles at organizations such as Rodericks Dental, Selfridges, and LloydsPharmacy, where she honed her expertise in HR strategy, organizational design, and employee development.
In addition to her professional roles, Niki has served as a Board Trustee for Blue Cross For Pets since 2020, contributing her expertise to support a charity dedicated to helping sick, injured, and homeless pets.
