Pune, Maharashtra, India, March 2026 – EXL has appointed Madhavi Dahanukar as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Operations, reinforcing the company’s leadership as it continues to scale domain-led, AI-enabled operations globally.
In this role, Dahanukar will oversee EXL’s Domain Operations and Finance & Accounting (F&A) Strategic Growth Units across global locations. Her mandate includes driving operational excellence, strengthening domain-led capabilities, and supporting the expansion of AI-powered and analytics-driven operations at scale.
Dahanukar brings more than two decades of leadership experience across consulting, outsourcing, financial services, and digital transformation environments. She returns to EXL with deep expertise in leading large global teams, building scalable operating models, and delivering enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
Most recently, she served as Managing Director for India and the Philippines at Principal Financial Group, where she led regional strategy and operations across two key global delivery markets. Prior to that, she held the role of India Country Head and CEO at State Street, and earlier served as India Country Executive at Northern Trust, where she led large-scale operational and talent initiatives across India.
Earlier in her career, she was Executive Vice President and Head of Enterprise Shared Services at Vodafone, where she was responsible for global shared services operations across India, Egypt, and Hungary, leading transformation initiatives leveraging predictive analytics, machine learning, robotic process automation, and agile operating models.
Dahanukar has also held multiple leadership roles during an earlier tenure at EXL, including Global Business Head for Energy & Utilities, Country Manager for the Philippines, Country Manager across multiple global markets, and Head of Business HR & Talent Acquisition, where she led transformation programs across 40+ locations globally and managed HR strategies for a workforce of approximately 20,000 employees.
Her earlier leadership experience includes roles with Mphasis, IDBI Bank, and GE Money, where she developed strong expertise in operations transformation, service delivery, and business process re-engineering.
