New Delhi, Delhi, India, June 2026 — Mastercard announced the appointment of Amarjit Singh Walia as Senior Vice President, Account Management, South Asia, effective immediately. Amarjit will lead Mastercard’s relationships with financial institutions, expansion of market opportunities, and accelerate the adoption of digital payments across the South Asia region. He will work closely with banks and ecosystem partners to support Mastercard’s consumer cards portfolio.

Amarjit joins Mastercard with more than three decades of experience across banking, payments and financial services. Most recently, he served as Business Head for credit cards, debit cards, and commercial cards at ICICI Bank. During his 22-year tenure at the bank, he held several leadership positions across cards, retail assets, liabilities and NRI banking, including leading the personal loans, business loans and education loans businesses, as well as NRI retail and corporate sales. Prior to ICICI Bank, he held sales leadership roles at BPL Mobile and MRF Tyres.
