Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, January 2026 — IBM has announced the appointment of Madhukar Pandey as Talent Acquisition Leader – India (Software). In this role, Madhukar will lead IBM’s software talent acquisition strategy in India, strengthening hiring capability, stakeholder alignment, and leadership readiness across one of the company’s most critical growth engines.
Madhukar brings over two decades of multi-sector leadership experience, spanning global talent acquisition, consulting, BFSI, professional services, and large-scale people leadership roles. Prior to joining IBM, he spent over four years with Allegis Global Solutions as Senior Associate Director – Talent Acquisition, where he led a 70+ member team across Bengaluru and Hyderabad, supporting end-to-end hiring for leading BFSI Global Capability Centers. During this tenure, he delivered significant outcomes including a 50% reduction in hiring time, major cost optimization, and a sharp reduction in agency dependency, while consistently maintaining SLA excellence. His contributions were recognized through multiple APAC Impact Awards and APAC High Achiever honors.
Earlier, Madhukar held senior leadership roles at KPMG, where he helped reshape talent acquisition for advisory and capability hubs, and at Barclays, where he led large-scale resourcing operations across multiple Indian cities as part of the India Senior Leadership Team. His career foundation also includes business leadership and P&L roles with organizations such as NetAmbit, MeraDoctor, Reliance Broadcast Network, MetLife, HDFC Life, ICICI Prudential, and NIIT, reflecting a rare blend of people, business, and transformation leadership.
Academically, Madhukar holds a PhD from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, with research focused on AI, ethics, and communicative experiences in recruitment, alongside an MBA in Human Resources from the same institution. His academic grounding strongly complements IBM’s focus on responsible AI, ethical hiring practices, and future-ready workforce models.
