Columbus, Ohio, United States, March 2026 — Nationwide has promoted Maggi (Chavez) Barclay to Associate Vice President – Human Resources, supporting the Operations Team in Personal Lines. The elevation reflects her continued progression within the organization and her growing leadership responsibilities across talent and HR strategy.
In her new role, Maggi (Chavez) Barclay will partner with business leadership to support workforce priorities for Personal Lines operations, strengthening employee experience, talent outcomes, and organizational effectiveness aligned with Nationwide’s customer-focused mission and performance goals.
Within Nationwide, Maggi has built a strong internal track record over nearly four years. Prior to this promotion, she served as Human Resources Director, and earlier worked as Senior Consultant – Executive & Talent Pipeline Development, contributing to leadership development, succession planning, and talent pipeline priorities supporting enterprise growth and capability building.
Before joining Nationwide, she spent significant years with T. Marzetti Company, progressing through multiple HR and talent development roles. Her responsibilities included serving as COE Talent Development Leader (Senior) and COE Program Leader (Talent Development), as well as working as an HR Business Partner & Project Leader and HR Project Manager in the Columbus area—building strong experience across HR program design, talent development, and business partnership.
Earlier in her career, she also worked with T. Marzetti Company in foundational HR roles including Human Resources Generalist / Project Manager, HRIS and Program Specialist / HR Coordinator, and Specialist, reflecting a long-term journey across HR operations, systems, and enterprise HR initiatives.
