Kolkata, West Bengal, India, May 2025 – Exide Industries Limited has announced the appointment of Mr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal as the new Director – Finance & Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 1st May 2025. In this strategic leadership role, Manoj will continue to oversee a wide range of critical functions, including Finance, Accounts, Audit, Treasury, Taxation, IT, and Procurement, with a focus on strengthening the company’s financial and operational framework.
Manoj succeeds Mr. Ashish Kumar Mukherjee, who concluded an 18-year distinguished tenure as Director – Finance & CFO. His long-standing contributions have been pivotal in shaping Exide’s financial stewardship and operational excellence.
Manoj Kumar Agarwal joined Exide Industries Limited in early 2023 as Deputy CFO, where he played a key role in providing leadership and governance across core financial functions. Over the last two years, he has successfully led initiatives to enhance financial performance, improve process efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
Prior to Exide, Manoj served for nearly eight years at Tega Industries, where he held the dual roles of President Finance and CFO, and later Director – Global Finance and CFO. His leadership was integral in aligning global finance operations, managing investor relations, and scaling financial capabilities across international markets.
Before Tega, Manoj spent a decade at Vedanta Limited – Aluminium Business, where he served as Head of Finance across key divisions including Power and Lanjigarh operations. His tenure was marked by effective financial control, compliance, and capital efficiency improvements within large-scale industrial setups.
Earlier in his career, Manoj held finance leadership roles at India Foils Limited, Alpha Overseas International Pvt. Ltd., and Bengal Tea & Fabrics Ltd., gaining extensive experience in corporate finance, compliance, and governance.
