Manoj Kumar Sharma Appointed as Group Head – Industrial Relations at Adani Group

Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, April 2025 – Manoj Kumar Sharma has taken on the role of Group Head – Industrial Relations (IR) at Adani Group, bringing over three decades of strategic leadership and hands-on experience in HR, employee relations, and industrial operations across diverse sectors including power, infrastructure, cement, and manufacturing. In this key position, he will lead IR strategy across the Group’s expansive industrial footprint, focusing on fostering sustainable labor relations, regulatory compliance, and harmonious workforce engagement.

Before his current role, Manoj Kumar Sharma served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Ambuja Cements Ltd., where he led HR transformation and organizational development initiatives across the AAA tag companies—Adani, ACC, and Ambuja—with over 35 manufacturing plants and 200+ locations nationwide. His leadership was instrumental in driving workforce agility and operational scale.

Earlier, he served as Sr. Executive Vice President – HR at Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd. (AEML) for over five years, where he managed the complete HR lifecycle and developed robust employee engagement frameworks and grievance redressal systems, earning a reputation for his integrity-driven, people-first leadership style.

Previously, he held HR leadership roles at Adani Green Energy, Adani Power, and Adani Infra, managing IR, policy design, talent strategy, and workforce alignment for critical infrastructure and renewable energy businesses. His contributions were pivotal in establishing HR best practices and managing scale during phases of rapid business expansion.

Earlier stints include his tenure as Sr. VP – HR at A&M Resources, VP – HR at Ispat Industries, and General Manager roles at Flex Industries, HEG Limited, and Aditya Birla Group, where he played instrumental roles in HR policy design, talent development, union negotiations, and cultural transformation.

Manoj began his career as a Personnel Supervisor at Ranbaxy Laboratories, where he gained foundational experience in plant-level HR operations and industrial relations.
