United States – November 2024 – Marcina Simons has joined Essex Property Trust as Head of Culture & Talent, where she will oversee cultural and talent initiatives to strengthen the organization’s workforce engagement and development strategies. With an impressive background in organizational development and talent management, Marcina will lead efforts to foster a collaborative, inclusive culture across Essex Property’s diverse locations in the western United States.
Prior to her role at Essex Property Trust, Marcina served as Head of Talent Management & OD at Auction.com for three years, where she played a pivotal role in team building, change management, and leadership development. Her efforts at Auction.com centered on cultivating a strong organizational culture, implementing talent optimization strategies, and providing leadership training, all of which enhanced employee engagement and contributed to sustained organizational success.
Before Auction.com, Marcina was the Director of Change Management & OD at Qualcomm. In this role, she led transformational change initiatives, including the rollout of Workday, and implemented a new operating model to promote a cohesive culture within the organization. Marcina’s expertise in change management and organizational design made a significant impact on Qualcomm’s HR transformation, driving greater alignment and operational efficiency across teams.
Earlier, Marcina held the position of Change Effectiveness Director at Aon, where she led a cross-functional change management team. She managed large-scale projects, such as a global HR operating model implementation impacting 60,000 employees worldwide, which resulted in substantial cost savings. Marcina’s leadership and strategic focus contributed to the success of multiple enterprise-wide initiatives, setting a foundation for operational improvements and enhanced employee engagement.
Marcina’s career in organizational development began with roles at Hewitt Associates (now part of Aon), where she spent over a decade in various HR and change management roles. Her work included developing high-performance teams, implementing go-to-market strategies, and consulting with global client managers on enhancing team dynamics. Her expertise in coaching, HR consulting, and talent management contributed to significant growth and transformation across multiple business units.
