Connecticut, United States, July 2025 – Margaret Belden has stepped into the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at Cantor Fitzgerald, bringing with her more than two decades of extensive HR leadership experience across global financial and professional services organizations. Before joining Cantor Fitzgerald, Margaret served as People and Organization Practice Leader at Grant Thornton LLP (US) for four years. There, she led strategic HR initiatives focused on transformation, talent development, and organizational effectiveness—partnering with leadership teams to create impactful, people-first change across the firm’s U.S. operations.

Prior to that, she was Vice President, Human Resources for the COO Organization at Blue Shield of California, where she provided HR leadership for a 5,000-employee division. Her work involved leading HR strategy during major organizational transformation and helping guide the company through challenges such as remote workforce transitions and socio-political change.

Earlier, she held the CHRO role at the International Council of Shopping Centers and AQR Capital Management, where she was instrumental in implementing comprehensive talent strategies, launching learning and development programs, and embedding a culture of coaching and leadership excellence.

Margaret also brings deep experience from her time as CHRO at Jefferies, Point72 (formerly SAC Capital), and Head of HR for North America Credit Markets at JPMorgan Chase. Across these roles, she built cohesive HR functions, implemented global talent frameworks, and played a pivotal role in acquisition integrations, performance management, and cultural alignment initiatives.
