Dublin, Ireland, June 2024 – Mark O’Connor has taken on the role of Head of Human Resources at Dublin Zoo. With extensive experience in human resources and a strong background in nonprofit organizations, Mark is set to lead Dublin Zoo’s HR initiatives and support the organization’s mission of education and conservation.
Mark O’Connor joins Dublin Zoo from CPM Ireland, where he served as the Head of Human Resources for over four years. In this role, he was responsible for driving HR strategies and supporting the organization’s overall objectives. Before that, Mark was a Human Resource Advisor at ISME Ireland, providing strategic HR support and advising on best practices in human capital management.
Mark has also held several key HR roles, including HR Generalist (FTC) at CPM Ireland, HR Generalist at Aura Leisure Centres, and Cluster Human Resources Manager at Dalata Hotel Group. His extensive experience in HR management has equipped him with skills in team building, organizational development, and human capital management.
Earlier in his career, Mark worked as a Human Resources Advisor at G4S Secure Solutions, where he managed the full cycle of recruitment, developed and reviewed TUPE documentation, and provided induction training for new recruits. He also held roles as a Recruitment Consultant at Noel Recruitment, Human Resources Coordinator at Dublin Business School, and HR Administrator at both Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley and the gibson hotel.
