Solna, Stockholm County, Sweden, November, 2024 – Mats Tegebäck has joined Telia as the Head of Group Total Reward, bringing with him a wealth of expertise in compensation, benefits, and total rewards strategies. Mats will spearhead the development and implementation of innovative rewards systems to drive employee engagement and support Telia’s mission to lead in digital transformation across the Nordic and Baltic regions.
Before joining Telia, Mats served as the Group Head of Compensation & Benefits at Stena Metall Group, where he led strategic initiatives for total rewards, benchmarking, and executive compensation for over two years. His leadership refined the group’s approach to benefits and incentives, aligning them with organizational goals and market standards.
Previously, Mats was the VP & Head of Compensation & Benefits at ASSA ABLOY Group, where he focused on long-term incentive programs, total reward strategies, and policy development. His tenure at Lantmännen as Head of Total Rewards spanned over five years, during which he implemented comprehensive rewards frameworks that elevated employee satisfaction and engagement.
Mats has also held key roles in EY, Swedbank, and TeliaSonera, developing a reputation for excellence in executive pay, international assignments, and compliance within the human resources domain.
