Richmond, Virginia, September 2024 – Matthew D. Taylor has taken on the position of Vice President, Head of HR Systems and Delivery at Atlantic Union Bank. In his new role, Matthew will focus on overseeing the bank’s HR systems and the delivery of HR services across the organization, contributing to Atlantic Union Bank’s ongoing efforts to streamline HR processes and enhance employee experience.
Prior to joining Atlantic Union Bank, Matthew served as Director of HR Excellence at Owens & Minor for 8 months, where he led initiatives to improve HR operations and drive organizational efficiency. His expertise in HR systems and operational excellence was instrumental in supporting the company’s HR strategy.
Before that, Matthew was the Senior Director of HR Operations at Avantor for approximately 5 months, where he oversaw HR operations and contributed to remote workforce management efforts. His responsibilities included optimizing HR processes to support the company’s global operations.
Matthew also spent over 5 years at Owens & Minor, where he held various leadership roles, including Director, Global HRIS and Senior Manager, Global HRIS. In these roles, he managed global HR information systems and led projects aimed at improving HR functionality and employee data management.
Earlier in his career, Matthew worked at McKesson for nearly 7 years, where he served as a Senior Project Manager – Human Resources. He was responsible for managing HR projects and supporting the company’s HR operations.
