Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, June 2025 – Megan Smith has taken on the role of Head of People & Culture, SAP Americas at SAP. In this newly appointed position, Megan will lead SAP’s people strategy for the Americas region, focusing on delivering innovative and inclusive employee experiences and supporting SAP’s growth as a leading employer in the technology sector.
Prior to this, Megan served as Vice President & Head of HR, SAP North America for over three years, where she represented HR for a region of more than 24,000 employees. She was instrumental in fostering belonging and inclusion, promoting well-being, and building a flexible digital workplace for SAP’s North American workforce.
Earlier, Megan held the role of Vice President & Head of HR, SAP Canada, overseeing HR for 3,600 employees across six locations. She introduced award-winning HR initiatives, including Canada’s first career maternity benefit, and implemented flexible work practices and leadership D&I programs.
Previously, Megan was Vice President Human Resources at SAP, leading HRBP teams for cloud and engineering businesses. She focused on scalable HR services, organizational development, and workforce transformation for acquired SAP cloud entities.
Her earlier career includes significant HR and learning leadership roles at SAP Concur, Canfor, and Simon Fraser University, as well as expertise in instructional design and project management with SAP BusinessObjects.
