Tampa, Florida, United States, February 2025 – Altus Fire & Life Safety has appointed Melissa Ernst as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, she will be responsible for overseeing human capital strategy, talent development, and fostering a high-performance culture within the organization.
Bringing over two decades of experience in human resources leadership, Melissa Ernst has played a pivotal role in shaping HR functions across multiple industries. Before joining Altus Fire & Life Safety, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Depot Connect International (formerly Boasso Global), where she led HR operations, talent management, and executive development. She also held the Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer role at Boasso Global, driving HR strategies for global expansion.
Prior to this, she spent 20 years at Quality Distribution Inc., where she held various leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Driver Services. During her tenure, she played a crucial role in integrating HR functions post-acquisition, leading workforce expansion, and optimizing HR efficiencies across North America and Europe. Melissa also has experience in HR leadership at Southern Company Energy Marketing (Mirant) and Tech Data.
Melissa currently serves as an Independent Board Director at SavATree, where she provides strategic insights into human capital management, leadership development, and governance.
