Waltham, Massachusetts, United States, June 2024 – Melissa Manno has joined Viridian Therapeutics, Inc. as the new Chief Human Resources Officer. With a wealth of experience in human resources leadership, Melissa will oversee HR strategies and initiatives to support the company’s growth and enhance its organizational culture.
Previously, Melissa served at Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals in various roles, including Chief Human Resources Officer, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, and Vice President of Human Resources. She played a key role in shaping HR policies and initiatives to support the company’s growth and employee engagement.
Prior to Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals, Melissa was the Director of Global HR Business Partner at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where she led HR strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness and align HR initiatives with business objectives.
At Synageva BioPharma Corp. (acquired by Alexion Pharmaceuticals), Melissa served as the Director of Human Resources, where she managed HR functions and contributed to the company’s integration efforts.
Melissa also held the position of Director of HR Operations at ikaSystems, where she was responsible for overseeing HR operations and implementing HR policies and procedures.
Her earlier career includes roles such as Senior Compensation Analyst at Alkermes, Human Resources Manager at AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Human Resources Generalist at Eastern Research Group.
