Louisville, Kentucky, United States, November 2025 — Melissa Trelfa has been appointed as Chief People Officer at Archway Group, a global leader in financial technology and services for family offices, private banks, and wealth managers. With more than two decades of human capital leadership across Fortune 500 enterprises, private equity-backed firms, and high-growth SaaS companies, Melissa brings a unique blend of strategic HR, organizational design, and executive coaching expertise to this pivotal role.
Melissa joined Archway Group earlier this year as Head of Human Resources, where she helped strengthen the company’s HR framework, drive cultural alignment, and build leadership capabilities. Her elevation to Chief People Officer reflects her instrumental role in shaping Archway’s talent strategy and her success in integrating people, purpose, and performance across the organization.
Before joining Archway, Melissa served as Chief People Officer at Appriss Retail, where she led HR operations across North America, the UK, and Poland. She was responsible for defining and executing business-aligned HR strategies that supported organizational transformation, including the company’s separation from its parent entity, multiple acquisitions, and enterprise-wide restructuring. Her leadership was integral to building a high-performing global HR team and establishing Appriss Retail as an agile, growth-oriented organization.
Prior to that, Melissa worked as a Human Resources Director at Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C., where she modernized HR infrastructure, introduced a new performance management system, and enhanced benefits and payroll systems. She also provided executive coaching to the board, fostering stronger alignment between leadership and organizational strategy.
Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles including Talent Programs Leader at The Rawlings Group and Regional Manager at Baptist Health System KY & IN. As Founder of Stay Balanced Coaching, Melissa built a successful HR consulting practice that partnered with startups and mid-sized companies to develop customized HR strategies, compensation structures, and organization design solutions. Her earlier corporate roles include HR leadership positions with Humana, thyssenkrupp Materials NA, and General Motors, where she gained extensive experience in culture transformation, HR technology implementation, and large-scale organizational change.
