Mercedes steps into this role following her tenure as People & Organization Senior Manager at DB Schenker, where she spent over six years advancing through multiple HR leadership positions. She played a critical role in driving people strategies, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational development across operations, ensuring alignment with business growth.
Before DB Schenker, Mercedes held leadership roles at Target, where she built strong expertise in HR, employee relations, and organizational leadership. As Human Resources Executive, she led HR functions in Farview Heights, Illinois, while earlier as Assets Protection Manager, she managed safety, compliance, payroll, staffing, and investigations across more than 20 stores in the St. Louis district. Her early Target career included specialist roles focused on safety, crisis response, and loss prevention.
Mercedes’ career reflects a steady progression from operational safety and compliance into strategic HR leadership, showcasing her ability to evolve with organizational needs and scale people functions in complex environments.
