In her new role, Mhari will lead the company’s people strategy, nurturing excellence across development, collaboration, and ways of working to support a happy, high-performing, and diverse team.
Having been part of FreeAgent for nearly nine years, Mhari’s promotion to Head of People represents both continuity and growth. She will continue to champion the organization’s culture of inclusion and innovation while elevating people development and engagement practices that align with FreeAgent’s mission of empowering users to manage their finances with confidence and simplicity.
Mhari has built her professional journey at FreeAgent through steady progression and impactful leadership. Most recently, she served as Senior People Team Manager, leading strategic initiatives that shaped the company’s talent, engagement, and culture agenda. Her leadership in people operations contributed to FreeAgent’s continued recognition as one of the most employee-centric tech organizations in the UK.
Before that, she was People Team Manager, overseeing the design and delivery of the People Team roadmap, ensuring FreeAgent remained an employer of choice through innovative HR practices and a supportive employee experience. Earlier in her journey at FreeAgent, she held roles as Senior People Consultant and People Consultant, where she played a hands-on role in building an inclusive culture, managing employee relations, and developing HR frameworks to sustain rapid growth in the company’s formative years.
Prior to joining FreeAgent, Mhari spent nearly six years at Standard Life, where she held progressive roles including People Advisor and Resourcing Consultant. She worked across diverse functions such as operations, finance, and risk, and contributed to process improvements and talent acquisition for the organization’s asset management division. Her early experience at Ipsos MORI and Monsoon Accessorize helped her develop strong interpersonal and analytical skills that now inform her strategic approach to people leadership.
