Leonardo, a leader in the global security sector, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Edwards as its new Chief Technology Officer.
Edwards, who has been with Leonardo for over 16 years, steps into this role after an extensive career in various engineering capacities within the company. In his new role, Edwards will oversee the technology strategy across the company’s multi-domain operations, ensuring that Leonardo remains at the forefront of innovation and security technology.
Edwards’ journey at Leonardo began as a Mechanical Apprentice, and over the years, he has risen through the ranks, demonstrating exceptional skill and leadership.
Prior to his current role, he served as Chief Technologist for EO Systems, where he was pivotal in leading advancements in optical engineering. His roles within the company have included Lead Optical Engineer, Principal Optical Engineer, and Senior Optical Engineer, during which he developed significant improvements in the company’s optical and electro-optical systems.
