Pomona, California, United States – October 2024 – Michael Goss has been named the Interim Director of Academic Human Resources at Western University of Health Sciences. In this role, Michael will lead HR strategies to support faculty and academic staff, focusing on compensation, classification, and organizational development to enhance the university’s mission in health sciences education.
Before this role, Michael served as a Classification and Compensation Analyst at Western University of Health Sciences for nearly 9 months, focusing on HR processes and compensation strategies. During this period, he contributed to HR operations by developing classification systems aligned with academic roles.
Michael also brings a wealth of experience from his tenure as a Director at the Inland Empire/Desert Center of Excellence for Labor Market Research, where he spent over 8 years driving career education growth in community colleges, analyzing labor markets, and implementing workforce development strategies. He was responsible for delivering presentations at various levels and introducing new methodologies for workforce planning.
Earlier, Michael was a Research Analyst II at the Labor Market Information Division, California Employment Development Department, where he conducted labor market research, issued employment reports, and led training programs. His experience at the California Employment Development Department as an Employment Program Representative further cemented his expertise in HR-related functions, focusing on data analysis and workforce development.
