Latham, NY, United States, September 2024 – Michele Vurraro has joined Upstate Veterinary Specialties as the Chief Human Resources Officer. Michele will lead all HR functions, including talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement, to support the company’s continuous growth and commitment to providing exceptional veterinary care.
Prior to joining Upstate Veterinary Specialties, Michele served as the Director of Human Resources at Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP for over 7 years. In this role, she oversaw HR strategy, talent acquisition, and employee relations, contributing significantly to the firm’s operational success.
Before her time at Woods Oviatt Gilman, Michele worked at LaBella Associates as a Senior Human Resources Generalist for over 2 years, where she managed onboarding, employee development, and HR compliance.
Michele also spent 8 years at Manning & Napier, progressing from Human Resources Assistant to Senior Human Resources Generalist, where she focused on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
Earlier in her career, Michele was the Office Manager at Spezio Property Services for nearly 4 years, where she gained hands-on experience in office operations and employee management.
