Illinois, United States, April 2025 – Michele Wells has taken on a new leadership position as Vice President, Deputy General, People at Endeavor Health, marking a significant step in her career as a distinguished legal and human resources leader in the healthcare industry. In this dual-capacity role, Michele will help shape people strategies, workforce development, and HR compliance for one of Illinois’ most prominent and fastest-growing healthcare systems.
Michele has been with Endeavor Health since September 2022, most recently serving as System Assistant Vice President & Associate General Counsel, People, where she provided comprehensive legal guidance on labor and employment matters. Her work has played a vital role in aligning legal strategy with HR operations during a pivotal time of organizational transformation.
Prior to Endeavor Health, Michele spent over nine years with Northwest Community Healthcare, progressing from Contract Manager to Associate General Counsel and then Executive Director of Risk Management, before assuming the role of Deputy Litigation Counsel. She advised on thousands of vendor and physician contracts, oversaw litigation, managed risk portfolios, and directed policy governance across the organization.
Earlier in her career, Michele served as Labor and Employment Attorney at Robbins Schwartz Nicholas Lifton & Taylor, and before that, as Labor and Employment Attorney at Katz, Friedman, Eagle, Eisenstein, Johnson & Bareck, where she represented both employers and unions in a wide range of litigation, arbitration, and collective bargaining matters. Her legal expertise spans more than two decades and includes extensive experience in healthcare, corporate governance, and employee relations.
