Toowong, Queensland, Australia, December 2025 – Michelle Aiken has taken on a new leadership role as Head of Learning Operations at Auto & General Australia. In her current appointment, she enables frontline teams to perform at their best by ensuring learning is practical, accessible, and delivered at pace. She leads the operational backbone of frontline learning, covering delivery, capability uplift, learning design, systems, resourcing, and the Community of Learning, ensuring alignment, consistency, and seamless integration across all learning offerings.
In her current role at Auto & General Australia, Michelle Aiken is driving frontline learning operations, translating business priorities into learning solutions that build confidence, lift performance, and improve customer outcomes.
Prior to this role, she served as Head of Learning and Development at Auto & General Australia, where she led learning strategies, designed and delivered training programs, assessed learning effectiveness, and managed budgets and vendor partnerships to support enterprise capability building.
Earlier, she progressed through several leadership roles at Auto & General Australia, including Learning Projects Manager and Frontline Learning Services Manager, where she led teams responsible for learning project delivery, frontline onboarding, contact centre capability uplift, and the implementation of managed service learning models.
Before joining Auto & General Australia, Michelle Aiken spent more than three years at QBE Insurance as Learning & Development Manager, leading enterprise learning strategies supporting customer-centricity, return-to-work capability, and technical workforce development.
She previously built a strong foundation in learning and change leadership through a long tenure at Life Without Barriers, holding multiple national leadership roles across learning & development, change management, communications, and training, and earlier served as Training Capability Leader at Suncorp Group, developing enterprise training capabilities across insurance operations.
