Cleveland, Ohio, United States, December 2024 – Michelle Brown has been named Vice President of Human Resources, North America at Univar Solutions. In her new role, Michelle will lead HR operations across North America, driving strategic initiatives in talent management, employee relations, and organizational development to support the company’s growth and innovation objectives.
Michelle brings over two decades of HR expertise to her new role. She has been with Univar Solutions for over four years, most recently serving as Senior Director of Human Resources and Director of HR Labor Relations, where she managed labor negotiations, developed competitive compensation strategies, and optimized HR policies for a geographically dispersed workforce.
Before joining Univar Solutions, Michelle spent nearly nine years at Buckeye Partners, where she served as Senior Manager of Human Resources. She played a pivotal role in managing HR programs for 500 employees across 12 states, negotiating over 20 union contracts, and driving efficiency in payroll and compliance processes.
Earlier in her career, Michelle held the position of Treasurer/Director of HR at Beverage Distributors Inc. for over a decade. She successfully revamped the company’s recruitment and benefits strategies, reducing turnover and cutting costs while enhancing organizational effectiveness.
Michelle began her career as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen LLP, where she provided financial auditing and business process outsourcing services to small and mid-sized companies.
