Atlanta, Georgia, United States, January 2026 — The Weather Company has appointed Michelle Kilroy as Chief People and Communications Officer, effective January 2026. In this expanded leadership role, she will oversee the organization’s global People & Culture function along with Integrated Communications, including internal and external communications, corporate messaging, events, and B2B content marketing—bringing together talent strategy and brand narrative under one executive mandate.
In her new position at The Weather Company, Michelle Kilroy transitions into the role of Chief People and Communications Officer after previously serving as the organization’s Chief Human Resources Officer for over two years. In her HR leadership capacity, she oversaw the global human resources function, contributing to people strategy, culture development, and enterprise talent priorities during a period of continued evolution for the company.
Before joining The Weather Company, Kilroy held a dual executive mandate at Elemica, serving as Global Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Officer. With over 20 years of experience, she partnered with senior leadership teams to shape progressive global talent strategies focused on attracting, developing, and retaining high-performing teams, while also driving a culture-first employee experience approach and advancing ESG priorities.
Earlier, she was part of the executive leadership team at PrimeRevenue as Vice President, Global Head of People & Talent, leading global HR strategy and execution and supporting the organization’s employee value proposition through agile, business-aligned talent programs.
She also led strategic HR and talent functions at RentPath (Rent.) as Director, Human Resources and Talent, where she oversaw HR Business Partnerships, talent management, learning & development, and HR operations—focusing on aligning human capital initiatives to business outcomes while developing leadership capability across the organization.
Kilroy’s earlier leadership track was built at Southern Company, where she served as Director, Talent Management, Diversity & Inclusion and HR Technology & Analytics, leading major talent and inclusion portfolios while overseeing HR technology and analytics functions supporting a large-scale workforce. She also brings deep enterprise experience from a long tenure at Turner (Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.), holding progressive leadership roles across talent development, learning & development, employee engagement, and executive development.
