Gurugram, Haryana, India, January 2026 — Mielle Batliwala has taken on a new leadership role as Vice President – Human Resources at Sarovar Hotels, marking a significant progression in her HR leadership journey within the hospitality sector. In her new position, she will oversee the organisation’s human resources strategy, focusing on talent development, organisational capability, and strengthening people practices across Sarovar Hotels’ expanding footprint.
Prior to this elevation, Mielle Batliwala was serving as Assistant Vice President – Human Resources at Sarovar Hotels, a role she held since December 2023. During this period, she played a key role in driving HR initiatives aligned with business growth, supporting workforce planning, employee engagement, and leadership development across the group.
Earlier, she took a planned career break focused on full-time parenting between October 2020 and November 2023. Before this, she was associated with Marriott International as Senior Manager – Corporate Human Resources, where she worked across Mumbai and Gurugram, contributing to corporate HR strategy and talent initiatives.
Her extensive hospitality HR experience also includes senior leadership roles with leading Marriott properties. She served as Director of Human Resources at JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity, and earlier as Director of Human Resources at JW Marriott Pune, where she spent over five years leading HR operations, talent management, and employee relations.
Prior to this, she held the role of Director of Human Resources at Goa Marriott Resort and Spa, following which she worked as Human Resources Manager with Marriott International – India, and earlier at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu. Across these roles, she built deep expertise in hotel HR operations, leadership development, and people-centric culture building over a career spanning more than two decades.
