Pirkanmaa, Finland, March 2025 – Miia Pennanen has joined Fastems as Chief People Officer, bringing a wealth of experience in human resources leadership, talent development, and strategic workforce planning. In her new role, she will drive Fastems’ people strategy, culture transformation, and leadership development, supporting the company’s mission to advance CNC automation solutions globally.
Miia joins Fastems after four years at Sandvik, where she served as Human Resources Director for Underground Drilling and Rock Drills & Technologies, leading HR strategies for a complex global workforce.
Before that, she was Senior HR Manager at Nokian Tyres and HR Manager at Vianor Group, where she played a key role in HR development, talent retention, and organizational growth. Miia’s early career includes research and project management at the University of Tampere, along with experience in market research and account management.
Beyond her executive HR roles, Miia serves as a Board Member at Pirkanmaan Osuuskauppa, further strengthening her expertise in corporate governance and leadership advisory. Her strategic HR acumen and leadership will be instrumental in shaping Fastems’ workforce of the future, aligning with its vision of innovation-driven automation solutions.
