Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, July 2025 – Mohamed Shelbaya has officially assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, PepsiCo Middle East & Africa, further expanding his leadership influence across one of the company’s most dynamic and diverse markets. In this elevated role, he will oversee operations across the MEA region, drive strategic growth, and champion talent and innovation across PepsiCo’s beverage and snacks portfolio.
Prior to this appointment, Mohamed served as Senior Vice President & CEO of Middle East & North Africa Beverage FOBO, where he led business transformation and market expansion strategies across the region. His impactful leadership in this role helped shape a forward-thinking roadmap for product diversification and performance acceleration.
Before that, he was Chairman & CEO Egypt and SVP North Africa, steering PepsiCo Egypt’s commercial operations and snacks category leadership across North Africa. During this time, he was also responsible for navigating key market transitions and elevating PepsiCo’s brand presence.
Mohamed’s earlier tenure included pivotal roles such as Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo Egypt Commercial Unit, VP Snacks Category MENA, and GM of the Snacks Business in Egypt. Across his 31-year career with PepsiCo, he has held progressive leadership positions in marketing, sales, and franchise development across the UAE, KSA, Egypt, and broader GCC markets, building deep expertise in regional consumer behavior and operational excellence.
Before joining PepsiCo in 1994, Mohamed began his professional journey with Saatchi & Saatchi Middle East as Account Director on P&G, bringing early exposure to brand strategy and client relations.
